I am going to try something new. Rather than write the posts in Word, then edit, then post (and edit some more) I am going to try to journal this amazing journey to the land of Messiah.
So here we are at Ft Lauderdale airport waiting for the first leg of our journey to begin. We are flying to Toronto, then to Tel Aviv.
For those who might not know, my friend Maria and I are journeying to the land of Israel. We will be there for 16 days! The best part? The cost is only $2400. That includes flight, hostels, rental car, food, and touring! Yes I said hostels.
I was with my family last night, celebrating my daughter and granddaughter’s birthdays. As I was sharing some of what we will be doing, my daughter was shocked that I was staying in a hostel. To be honest, I didn’t like the idea at first. But when I looked at the difference in price, the idea quickly grew on me. Besides, many of them have private rooms, so it’s not that bad.
Tonight we will be staying at a hostel right inside Jaffa Gate. I will let you know how it goes.
I plan to take loads of photos and videos, posting to facebook. Be sure to connect with me there. And please keep Maria and I in prayer, that we would learn all that Adonai wants us to learn, see all that He has to show us, and use us for His glory.
